We used 1ply paper cocktail napkins around 25x25cm (10×10 inches) in size when unfolded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, you can use other sized paper napkins provided they are not too thick, because it will make cutting through the layers quite difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you happen to have napkins that are quite thick check to see if you can separate it into single layers, to make it easier to handle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We opted to use napkins that had a white back, to a achieve a two toned flower. However, you can use an all solid color paper napkin for a single toned flower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What You Will Need<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For each paper flower you will need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • 3 cocktail paper napkins<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Elastic band, string or wire, to tie the centre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Step-by-Step Guide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Step 1: Cut the Napkins<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Unfold each napkin and cut down the centre to create two halves. You should have six pieces that measure about 25×12.5cm (10×5 inches).<\/p>\n\n\n

    Step 2: Stack each piece on top of each other.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    If using two toned napkins (one side white, the other colored) layer them by alternating color. Start by placing one piece colored side down, then another white side up, repeat until all the pieces are stacked.<\/p>\n\n\n
